Data engineer

At DEME we believe in the value of data and becoming data driven. As a Data Engineer you will join the Data & Analytics Office (DAO) within the IT Services department. Together with the team you will be transforming DEME’s data into high quality (BIG) data sets and reports. You will enable our businesses to gain insight in their data so they can support their decisions with facts. You will be working with various kinds of data on multiple projects.

You will be creating, maintaining, and supporting data pipelines with information coming from our vessels, projects, campaigns, third party data services, and so on. For our office in Cyprus we are seeking a meticulous and proactive Corporate Housekeeper to enhance the quality of corporate data in existing systems. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of data required for e.g. Pillar Two reporting purposes. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying missing data, performing sanity checks, and following up to ensure high-quality data for international reporting. Additionally, this role involves monitoring compliance with local legislation using in-house PowerBI reports and managing internal controls within the Finance Department.

Geotechnical Engineer

As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will focus on a wide variety of challenges supporting our cable installation business unit on offshore windfarms. Your challenges will extend from multi-disciplinary cable route engineering to cable burial studies and managing complex soil datasets. You will be responsible for sound and expert output to support our project and tender teams or work on one of our many R&D projects.

The engineering department in Breda consists of approximately 30 employees. You will work in an international team of 8 Hydraulic and Geotechnical engineers. As a geotechnical engineer you will support our commercial and project teams by providing, amongst other things, expert advice on cable protection strategies and cable route design. Together with the team, you will help our society transition to a sustainable future.

Works Manager

As the Product Owner for Vena within the Finance ICT team, you will play a pivotal role in the technical management and support of our Vena software, a key tool for automating high-quality data collection. This position is integral to ensuring our finance department operates efficiently amidst new legislative requirements, particularly the Pillar Two legislation. You will collaborate closely with BISS and the software supplier to oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of Vena, supporting a growing user base expected to reach approximately 150 by 2025.
